OBarto STEM & Childcare is a private, full-time early learning program serving children ages 8 weeks to 5 years. We are intentionally small to provide structured routines, individualized support, and meaningful STEM-based learning experiences in a nurturing environment.
OBarto STEM & Childcare was founded from both necessity and vision.
After graduating with a degree in Mathematics and welcoming our daughter, we quickly realized how limited high-quality infant care options were in our community. As we searched for a program that felt intentional, structured, and developmentally rich, we discovered an opportunity to create something we wished had existed.
What began as a response to a childcare shortage became a mission-driven endeavor.
With backgrounds in mathematics, special education, physical education, and educational leadership, we understood that early childhood is not simply about care, it is the foundation of lifelong learning. We believed young children deserved more than supervision; they deserved an environment thoughtfully designed to challenge, nurture, and inspire them.
Launching our in-home program required discipline, research, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. From navigating Kansas licensing requirements to designing intentional learning spaces, every decision was made with long-term vision in mind.
Over the past several years, we have refined our program into a structured, academically focused early learning experience. Our approach integrates hands-on STEM exploration, purposeful play, consistent routines, and social-emotional development within a small-group setting.

“I couldn't recommend O'Bartos more! My daughter has been cared for by Braydon and Sydney for a little over 2 years ever since she was 1.5 years old. My daughter has flourised in their care. It all began with her learning how to sign (which was a total blessing for us parents! Game changer). From there it was like dominos! She learned and grew so much! It was amazing! Their beautiful blend of love and education is what I find most valuable as a parent. They have become an extension of our family and I know without a doubt that my child will be more than well taken care of. The kids form close bonds with each other, they get to do a wide variety of activities that are fun but help teach them in a multitude of ways. They really love what they do and treat each kiddo like their own.
